Eucalyptus perriniana

Spinning gum

Eucalyptus perriniana

"Spinning gum", this Eucalyptus is so called because dead leaves spin around the branches. Leaves blue to purple-grey, the bark is grey-brown and peels off later. Very fast grower (2 m / year), is cut close to ground level for branches for flower-arranging but then doesn't flower. All perriniana's here in the garden died in the winter 2002-2003. The best provenances are from mainland Australia. Usually in stock.
