| Alpine Yellow Gum, Tasmanian Alpine Yellow Gum (Tasmania) Another very hardy and attractive Tasmanian tree. It has a beautiful bark that peels in vertical strips revealing yellow, tan and green patches; and the leaves are also a very deep green. The juvenile leaves are opposite, with square stems, and the adult leaves are pendulous. Fast growing and tolerant of a wide range of sites, including poorly drained soils. Good for hedges. Hardy from -12 to -18°C. This plant can be found in the botanical garden in the following locations: South East border Southern Hemisphere
